He’s also a Chan. And while most people only have a plan B for when things go wrong, Chans plan all the way to Z. So, after his astronaut grandma disappeared on a mission to Jupiter, Icarus worked his way through an alphabet’s worth of ideas to try to get her help. All that's left is plan Z: build a rocket ship and rescue her himself.
He’s spent months scavenging for parts in and around his foster home, and the ship is almost ready. The popcorn boosters are loaded. The board game navigation system is installed. And the potato conductors are pumping electricity. Icarus has thought of everything—except what to do when the resident bully, the excitable new kid, and a goat with an appetite for destruction unexpectedly end up on board.
As all his carefully laid plans go out the window, Icarus will soon discover that space is full of even more surprises, and he may just need every ounce of this makeshift crew’s combined skills if they have any hope of saving grandma Chan . . . and themselves.
